My wife and I have had the pleasure of working with Michael Neef of Big River Mortgage and can’t say enough good things about him and his organization. Michael’s attention to detail and fast turn-around time on virtually every phase of the loan process was phenomenal. His communication skills are excellent (and that was very important to help guide us through this process). We actually received a correspondence from Michael as early as 6am in the morning and as late as 11:50 pm in the night. To provide his unsurpassed customer service he literally works day and night. In the case that Michael is in a meeting and can’t answer his phone when you first call he will return your call not only on the same day but usually within the hour. We can go on and on. Michael has answered every question we have ever asked, he is extremely knowledgeable and creative regarding all types of loan alternatives and if I could nominate him as Loan Broker of the year I would. He is truly a Home Loan Expert! And if you are wondering, before working with Michael on financing our new home we had never met or heard of Michael. Being a first time home buyer can be very scary. I feel that I have a pretty good head on my shoulder but there are things that I had no idea about when it came down to buying my first home. One thing that really impressed me with Michael was his patients. Out of all of the mortgage representatives that I interviewed and gave information to, Michael was the only one that waited the year for us to find the perfect home. To me this meant that it wasn’t all about the money or numbers. Once we picked the house he walked me through all of the steps that were going to happen. Throughout the process I had a lot of questions and me wanting to know the answer sooner verse later, I would call him. He just always answered the phone. I would call early morning, nights, weekends and all throughout the day. I felt like I was bothering him, but he assured me that I wasn’t and that what ever help I needed to just give a call. Being comforted like that was nice because being a first, second or tenth time home buyer it can still be stressful. In our process there were a ton of obstacles, from paperwork issues to verification. One of our biggest issues was being able to get all our paperwork together to be able to close on time. I stressed and stressed thinking we are never going to get into this house. Michael was there and helped as our coach saying, “We are doing everything possible, it is out of your hands now.” Not only did Michael work so, so hard on our loan but his staff did a remarkable job. It’s not just a one man show over there at Big River. With all his Processors, Underwriters and Funders working incredibly hard; we just wouldn’t have been able to do it without them all. They were able to push our loan through in record breaking speed and we were able to close on time! This really showed me that when it’s crunch time they really know how deliver.
